Stamp I mention. Exactly the same scenario as the OP. As Ellie said, just carry two passports. Immigration did the rest with the stamp. This stamp is in my NEW passport. The bit I have scrubbed out has my OLD passport number - linking the two. Done three bounces with both passports and the aforementioned stamp - no problem.
Umm I departed BKK airport, old passport with non imm b multi visa + new passport. Stamp in passport from immigration officer. Old passport number written on it. I speak from experience - not guess.
this is correct. Immigration (when you exit) put a stamp in your new passport and write your old passport number on it. You need to carry both as Ellie says.
You can get your finger prints done at a local police station for a bit of tea money and a polite ask. I got mine done as part of my police clearance application made from my local police station. I walked away same day with copies of my fingerprints and was told to wait 3 months for processing in Bangkok. (Although I got a fax/copy of my clearance after four weeks). So.. if they are only asking for fingerprints the local police station will do.
If you bounce prior to the expiration date on your non imm b multi you get an extra 90 days. Mine was mid Nov, but I’m now stamped in to mid Feb (I bounced just before) I was just wondering if that would pose any issue when applying for an extension to stay. Or should it have been done prior to mid Nov.
