A 90 day non imm b single is ‘stay’ period to get your s#%t in order with your employer internally. Proper process. Either your employer provides your documents for your extension to stay OR your lawyer prepares them (self employment/director) for a non b MULTI application. Either/or
I’m happy to be corrected. Last time I was party to a re-entry - application I was told 1900 - I’m aware that’s the same number as an extension to a visa exempt - again happy to be corrected. Why would you pay a fee to re-enter on a multi?
Immigration can put a stamp in your new passport linking the old passport (and visa) to the new one, everything is then done with your new passport number. I got mine stamped at BKK airport immigration and always carry both.
The bottom line is that the recent changes are bringing those who are abusing visa exempt/tourist visas ‘out into the open’ it’s time to get legal or go home.
That’s good to know, in the unlikely event of my wife and I parting in the future I’m thinking it would be prudent to go down the dependant path. I have the funds, have held the same job for a government school for almost two years. Maybe I should try the dependant extension first.
yes I’m familiar with that process, it can be six months plus assuming you have the consent of the mother. I was just thinking that if my extension was based on my half Thai son that this would be a constant in the situation where my marriage might not necessarily be, if you get me.
