if you read between the lines you’ll see the politics there. Everyone has quotas to meet. The reality is that you can’t drop your guard.

A voluntary hand-in, which stands you on good stead as far as the penalty (length of ban/fine) goes. Problem was there was a ‘mix’ up in the paperwork and he got a five year ban for an eight month overstay. His employer could not provide his passport.

14 days in the local police station then Shipped up to the IDC in Bangkok. Zero funds. About 10 days there before flight to the UK.

yes important to not get the two confused. If you have a non b single then 99% of the time you should have a plan to follow on.. as I outlined above. That’s what non b singles are for..

A 90 day non imm b single is ‘stay’ period to get your s#%t in order with your employer internally. Proper process. Either your employer provides your documents for your extension to stay OR your lawyer prepares them (self employment/director) for a non b MULTI application. Either/or

I’m happy to be corrected. Last time I was party to a re-entry - application I was told 1900 - I’m aware that’s the same number as an extension to a visa exempt - again happy to be corrected. Why would you pay a fee to re-enter on a multi?

Immigration can put a stamp in your new passport linking the old passport (and visa) to the new one, everything is then done with your new passport number. I got mine stamped at BKK airport immigration and always carry both.

I totally agree, they need to go further than ‘weeding out’ undesirables and open things up for those that have valid intentions.
