what you said about getting a work visa is not true. Tons of people are already in Thailand and want to work and cannot, even with job offers, because they cannot renew their non b visas. The only legal way to change visa status from amnesty non b to valid Non b is to cross over a border and the government has provided no alternative to this in-country. You will see students with no teachers in schools across Thailand after September 26th if the issue is not resolved now.
What's a good resource for reading up on last minute changes to visa laws? The laws change so fast I cannot keep up, I hear about something a month later then a month later it changes again. I'm also not sure about the politics with employers, I may be naive in this regard.
