's response was reasonable and factual, but you said he was giving bad advice. Every immigration office has its own policies. I know many people in Bangkok prefer the mail option as it's easy and 100% effective.

is correct. In Bangkok all 90-day reporting can be done by mail. Because of the inconsistency in the online reporting and because it's a wasted day to go to CW immigration, I've done every 90-day report by mail for about the last eight years. Works every time, even on first reports after having been out of the country.
