TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day reporting to immigration in Thailand requires first-time report submission in person. If a submission is rejected (such as online submission), it indicates that the reporting must be done in person at the local immigration office. Various comments highlight the confusion around online vs. in-person requirements, emphasizing that you must have the TM30 form and cannot complete this process online for the initial report.

After 90 days of entering Thailand you need to do a 90-day report and this needs to be done after each time of entry to Thailand after 90 days.

The lack of research people seem to do is shocking. People seem to think they can just turn up and that's it.

If you got a 90 day report online rejected it means you need to GO to the immigration office where you live and file a 90 day report in person 🙂

Anyone can confirm they actually did their second report online? I tried the second one, and it was declined, same as the first. I had to go to immigration in Phuket.

if it was rejected, it will be because of the address, when you do it in person ask them what the correct address should be, then next time you shouldn't have a problem.

Think it would depend on when a person does the first 90 day report, if did a week before at around 83 day point then the next 90 day would need to be done before the 180 days was reached.

yes that was my mistake. I thought hey I am smart and do it a week before the actual 90 days so it's done. But in the end I had to do 2-90 day reports in 180 days period. Next time I will wait till 90 days are done.

I did the first one in person at immigration and was hoping to do the second one online as mentioned everywhere. But I tried it 2x and both times it got declined. So I had to visit the immigration in person for the second extension.

How do you do two 90 day reports. You have to apply for an extension before 180 days. The 90 day report would be automatic at the granting of extention

You can submit the 90-day report up to 10 days early or 7 days late. However, if you choose to submit it early and stay for 180 days, you'll end up needing to complete two reports within that period. I assumed getting it done early would be more convenient, but they start counting from the submission date of the first report. So, even though I stayed only 178 days, I still had to file a second report.

We are talking about a DTV visa. You cant stay more than 180 days without an extension which you need to do at immigration or jump the border and come back. There is no second 90 day reporting unless you get an extension and you could do it at immigration at the same time if they required it.

I have the DTV. And I did the first 90 day report 10 days early. Effectively done the 90 day report after 80 days in the country. So the next 90 day report is after 170 total days in Thailand. If I hadn't done the first report early, I would be fine with 1 90 day report for the 180 day period.

So best is to wait for exactly 90 day to report, or be a few days late. I know that for next time.

it's been reported to be a 2-hour wait in Bangkok once you get the ticket so it's an interesting waste of time and effort.... Basically half a day ruined.

In Phuket they might even be a drive-thru when it takes 5 minutes so I don't know why they can't improve it....

it's fast. In Phuket immigration is special window just for 90 day reports. I came 30min before lunch break and I was in and out in 20min.

if you leave before the 90 day report is due, when you come back the count down starts again and your next 90 day report is due 89 days from the date you stamp IN to the country

What???

A 90 day report is what you do when here for 90 days

DTV rejected means you got rejected

Two separate things 🤷‍♂️

You need to report to immigration every 90 consecutive days in Thailand. First time, in person. you can't do it online.
