TLDR : Answer Summary
This discussion focuses on retirement visa options for expats in Thailand, highlighting costs and requirements. Commenters debate the validity of a mentioned cost of 250,000 THB, with some suggesting that handling the process independently could lower expenses significantly. Others inquire about required documentation and seek additional online resources for more information.

That's what I thought. It's a good one for lazy retirees who don't want to go through the process of registering a business name etc. This one is all done for you, and considering some agents are quoting 65k to 100k this seems pretty reasonable. They also say the "courses" can be done online, so you can learn about Thai language (Sawasdee Crap - box ticked), cooking (remember to always over-heat when warming up 7-11 food in a microwave - box ticked) and culture (when visiting a temple pull your shorts down to cover your knees, but ensure your t-shirt is long enough to cover the resulting bum crack - box ticked). How easy is that? π
lol, yup! I agree. This is actually very good value i think. If these guys are delivering the visa on this price with approved programme - it's brilliant. Do they cover the 500k?
Possibly not, but let's be realistic, any retiree that doesn't have a miserable 500k baht in cash management, savings, superannuation in their home country isn't going to last too long in Thailand! π
