Question

If you get a non o in country from an agent, in the following 12 months do you need to bring in the 65,000 THB a month thing, or will the agent sort something out when the renewal is due?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When obtaining a Non-O visa through an agent, you may still be required to meet the 65,000 THB monthly income requirement upon renewal, although the agent may assist in handling the renewal process for a fee. Some expats suggest managing the process personally to avoid ongoing agent costs. Various opinions indicate that while agents can facilitate the renewal, it often comes with additional expenses. It’s advisable to clarify with your agent regarding the costs and requirements for maintaining your visa status.

If you don't want to hold up 800k in a bank or the 65k a month then agent is the best way forward..they deal with it all every year yes it's a cost but your own money is still yours

Just do it all yourself. It can be tedious, but not difficult. Don't continue to support corruption.

You've been sucked into the agent merry go round scam. Ask your agent how much it's going to cost you every year to maintain your dodgy extension of stay

it’s not a scam. Like literally, it doesn’t even fit the description of a scam. It’s a choice.

Yes. It's a choice to be scammed. Happens every day in Thailand. So if a taxi driver wants to charge you 500 baht for a fare that you know is only 350 it's a SCAM!! But a visa agent who wants to charge you

baht for a 1900 baht visa extension is a CHOICE?? 😂😂😂. Google "Deluded" ✅✅✅

and you are delusional! And you still don’t know what “scam” means. The visa “agent” is doing a service. Again, it’s NOT a scam. I’m not sure what has you triggered, but maybe a nice walk on the beach will chill you out. If not, maybe a nice cold beer. Have a wonderful day in the Land of Smiles!

If you call paying an Agent to bribe the Immigration officers and Bank managers to do something illegal on your behalf a service, then when you get caught and kicked out of the Country and the Agent just gets a fine, then you are delusional.

Obviously you're not aware that agents pay bribes to immigration officers to obtain visa extensions that cannot be obtained through lawful means! Never mind, you've a lot to learn about scams in Thailand! Taxi drivers also provide services! 😂😂😂

No worries. I always try to help those struggling with the English language. Scam is defined as a "dishonest scheme" but I guess there's nothing dishonest in paying bribes to government officials? It seems you've been scammed by agents too! Never mind, you're not the first and won't be the last 😂😂

Haha! The only way to get off the agent merry go round is to leave the country and start again doing it legitimately. You're going to have to be paying the money to the agent every year from now on.
