Hi..I could need an advice..I hold a Non Imm 0 Visa..The Visa expires May 10..I have a flight to Europe May 22

Will I be able to buy an extension? or do I hope for that in May I can do a visa run?

I have always had a one year Non-immigrant O, multiple entry for many years. One of the stumbling blocks is doing a border run every 90 days. I used to drive up to Nong Khai and cross the border into Laos, but with the land borders being closed I can no longer do that. It has been almost two years since I have seen my Thai family. No easy way to enter and remain in Thailand at the moment.

look at Cambodia as visa run...or if you have multi entry non o.

Makes a nice one week tourism visit.

Phnom Penh is OPEN with visa needed.

And on return requires meet/have Thailand Pass requirements.

In years past you held an O-A visa for retirement.

You now say you have a Non O...

When did you enter Thailand on the Non O you now have?

Are you in the first 90 days of entry with your Non O ?

yes I used to have an OA..but since the health insurance was mandatory I had the Non IMM O (I stay in Europe half the year and hold a Danish insurance which covers me when I am in Thailand)

That’s why I have the non IMM O now 🙂

If I cannot extend I guess I have only 2 options..wait and see if it will be possible to make a visa run, and if not I must change my flight

and the Non O you have...is it now on a one year extension of stay as retired and you are not going to extend it for an added year?

If you do not extend it...you will need to leave by its expiration date.

Ok ..it is not an extension. It is a visa issued at the Thai embassy in Copenhagen

But I will see to have it extended before expiration date

There are no real practical visa runs due to COVID and all land borders CLOSED.

If you meet the requirements you can apply for a 1 year Extension of Stay.

As the Non Immigrant Visa O stands for Others without the reason why you got this visa, we can not help you any further
