Right!...never knew there were so many big children in one group that have to demonstrate how witty they think they are.

Hopefully you can resolve your situation Michael when restrictions lessen in Thailand. I'm afraid I'm not much help. I'm presently in Ireland for the same amount of time as yourself, am waiting for things to return to as normal as possible before returning myself.

PS, I do miss it, lived there for 21 years.

He didn't say he had people who would hire him...he said he had "friends" who would sponsor him...A not so unusual question...as in.. friends who would be willing to invite him to Thailand by supplying a letter and would be willing to vouch for him by means of accomodation, and financially if required.

But Oor, don't you see...some people cannot resist an opportunity to show others how "witty" they think they are...it doesn't matter even if it's at the express of others....

I have a Thai lady friend living in BKK. They started giving the vaccines since June (after the most vulnerable got theirs) to people who had registered, starting with the eldest and working downwards. She got her's in the local hospital the first week of this month. She will get her 2nd one after a wait of 11 weeks.

Yes indeed, I guess that was the purpose of setting up the group. Fair dues to that person/s.

I renewed my last passport when I went home to Ireland for a holiday through the post method. I travelled back to Thailand using my still valid old passport and when my 90 day sign in was due I had to go to the Irish Embassy to get a verification letter for the new passport. It always struck me as a bit of a "rip off". Had to pay 1,000 Baht to the Irish Embassy to have my passport verified... that had been issued to me by the Irish Government?

PS. Often wondered, if I had produced my new passport when returning to Thailand (along with my old one for the stamps) at the airport and got it stamped, wouldn't that have been a verification in itself.
