TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry discusses how to obtain a sponsored visa for Thailand, as the poster has friends willing to sponsor. Several comments clarify that there is no specific category for a 'sponsored visa'—instead, the process involves obtaining a work permit through employment. Comments also mention the need for proper documentation, including proof of vaccination and medical insurance, and reference official sources for accurate visa information.

The question makes little sense - if you have people who will hire you and get you a work permit - why ask ? They would know the process .
There is no visa co sign or sponsorship - the current process is well
Documented in this and other Thai forums about getting coe, showing proof of vaccine , testing , medical insurance that covers your stay in the kingdom , types of entry visas , quarantine hotels and agencies , visa requirements for entry and how to change them after entry . The rumors of expanding tourism and the variety of sandbox like schemes to tourist zones . There’s information about what you can be employed as and what you can’t …etc
Here’s the info from the Thai mission in USA - you can find this at your home country mission
He didn't say he had people who would hire him...he said he had "friends" who would sponsor him...A not so unusual question...as in.. friends who would be willing to invite him to Thailand by supplying a letter and would be willing to vouch for him by means of accomodation, and financially if required.
since there is no such thing as sponsorship all his friends could do to help would be to hire him . The link I posted has answers to all his questions - he can check the consulate page in his home country or in Manila for accurate up to date information as it applies to his situation.
thank you Robert you understood what I meant the trouble I am having is that I am and have been stuck on a remote island in the Philippines for the past
20 months I finally got my vaccination and would like to return to Thailand where I lived for 16 years prior to coming here.
Hopefully you can resolve your situation Michael when restrictions lessen in Thailand. I'm afraid I'm not much help. I'm presently in Ireland for the same amount of time as yourself, am waiting for things to return to as normal as possible before returning myself.
PS, I do miss it, lived there for 21 years.
