Yes keep asking for ID. I've been using Money Grab . com if you have a VISA debit card able to receive better exchange rates than Wise.

 there 3 fees to choose the quickest is more expensive there cheapest price was under $1 but takes 2-5 days .lots cheaper than Wise

Use Moneygram .com if you have a VISA debit card you will get the best transfer rate. Right now 1$=34.41bahts. Rate is much lower if not use a VISA debit card.
