TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation provides numerous recommendations for affordable ASQ (Alternative State Quarantine) hotels in Thailand, highlighting options like Lohas Residences, Qiu Hotel Sukhumvit 79, and the Princeton Hotel in Bangkok. Participants shared their personal experiences, the costs associated with each hotel, and advised against choosing too-cheap options due to potential issues. Several commenters also discussed awaiting changes to quarantine regulations, which may affect hotel pricing and availability.

Doesn't matter. Get the cheapest with a balcony. Bring alcohol.

Hotel Amber Sukhumvit 85 looked good but wasn't available for my dates. I booked Best Western Premier on Sukhumvit 1, similar price. Seems like ages ago (arrived Jan 22). 2 weeks flew by, food was good, more than I could eat. Room comfortable (no balcony but I don't smoke so not a critical factor). The big boon for me was the booking arrangement - I paid 5000 deposit and balance on arrival, thus giving some protection in the event of having to cancel, reschedule, etc. Many places require 100% payment up front which I wasn't too keen on considering the risks such as missing a flight due to a late Covid test result, wrong paperwork, etc.

Cheaper to get the vaccine but must wait til October to enter without paying ASQ price
I agree but gf is missing me and I am missing her and she and I both want me to come back, it has been over a year since I last visited.

Avani atrium Bangkok. Prices may be higher due to songkran. Was affordable two months ago. Not sure you will find anything without a huge wait list for less than 2k bht per night ATM.

Is there a link to all the hotels please.

baht
I dont know what way expensive ones would of been different but I had not one complaint about my stay . The food was great , great staff , you messaged them they respond quickly with your request . Air con was great . Best 30,000baht I've spent in relation to getting food and hotel accommodations for 16 days
Tony ,the term ASQ Never existed previously. That raised the price.
Prior to Covid N- 95 masks for pm 2.5 were 50 baht, cotton 20 baht. Once pandemic took hold N-95 are 150 to 300 baht ( if you can find ) cotton 75 to 100.
I’m in the sunshine garden resort. The balcony is the best part!! It’s ok room and staff are nice. Aircon good. Room a little dated but it’s fine. 32,000 baht good for balcony.
7 with vax and F2F, 10 with F2F only. It's crazy to book anything now when things are about to change

I really liked the Qiu Hotel Sukhumvit 79. It was very reasonable back in July when I stated there. I was on the first floor overlooking the pool. After 3 days we could go out and hang poolside. Actually enjoyed the experience.

Definitely don’t go with a cheaper one. I made that mistake. Thank god I’m out now.
Thank you. What was particularly good about it? Did the room have a nice view and were you allowed outside at all, such as balcony or to use any pool area?
