I'm coming back to Thailand from the USA with a lot of luggage. I'll need to fly from BKK to Chiang Mai and I need to check about 50 kilos of luggage but I'm having trouble finding a carrier that will let me prebook that amount. Any suggestions?
Hello everyone, I will arrive in Chiang Mai on the 8th of May and have a flight ticket out of the country on the 4th of July.
According to my calculations that will be 58 days of staying in Thailand. Allowed are 60 days (30 days on arrival and an extension of another 30 days)
I just do not want to have an overstay stamp if for example, immigration will not grant me a full extension of 30 days. But with two days as a buffer, it should work? Did I calculate wrong or does that make sense? Thanks in advance
Hey everyone... I am on a 30 day extension after arriving in Chiang Mai on 45 day stamp last month (feb).
I am needing to get a new stamp on my passport before the 24th of April while my visa app is being processed. Ive heard its easy and cheap to grab a bus ticket to Huay Xai, Laos and hop over the border and then back in..
Ive looked into the bus situation to get there and understand where to leave from Chiang Mai but once I get over the border and into Huay Xai, is it simple getting back in? What is the process? in order to get into Laos do we go through an immigration type thing at the border and have to go back through there to get back into thailand?
Ive never done this before and will be traveling with my toddler so just trying to get a good scope while there's still time for wiggle room.
Hi, first time travelling around Thailand next month, starting in Bangkok, then chaing Mai, koh samui etc, we have a 2 year old and I really would like to take her pram, but my husband doesn’t think it’s a good idea? Any opinions please would be much appreciated.
Hi all, currently trying to travel from Bangkok to Chiang Mai but unsure if there are restrictions as we are unvaccinated.
Airline website says Chaing Mai require Covid vaccinations but then upon entering Thailand it says you have freedom to go anywhere in the kingdom once you’ve done Thai pass, negative test etc.
Can anyone please help clarify? Also willing to take train/bus but not sure if they also require vaccine or test beforehand.
