no that's not true. I read in this group that it is fine to do the 1st reporting online so I did that and it was approved 2 hours later! This was immi Udon Thani

of course you don't need a Thai bank account for getting a visa to Thailand when applying abroad. That would be impossible and totally stupid. Another type of visa you say - visa exempt is not a visa if that's what you talk about.

that won't happen! The uploaded files are rejected immediately by the system if they can't be read or not approved and then you just do it again until they are accepted and continue with your application

you can scan documents on your phone - I use CS (camscanner) but there are many others. Of course you don't print your documents - you upload them.
