I'm doing my tourist isa on-line and they want the places I'll be staying at. I don't know yet and plan to travel around. How do I answer this question?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is concerned about filling out their tourist visa application, specifically regarding the accommodation details they need to provide despite having no confirmed bookings. Community responses suggest selecting a temporary booking for the application process, often allowing for a week's stay. It's generally acceptable to use any initial address, with no strict verification. Some users also discuss the necessity of financial documentation and express confusion about visa types, advising that travelers from certain countries can enter without a visa, receiving a stamp valid for 60 days upon arrival.
I have recently received my non o visa by email. I have read conflicting info about paperwork I will need from the UK to take with me to enable me to open bank account in Thailand. Could someone please inform me accurately what paperwork I will need for completion of this. Since I hopefully will be staying in Thailand until I get my non o retirement visa after the initial 3 months and a multi entry visa so I will have to take the required paperwork from UK beforehand. Thankyou
nothing required from UK. you will need copies of your passport, a residence certificate from immigration and a Thai phone number in your name to open a bank account.
i got mine early June and think I was lucky to do it then. That's why I want to stay away from agents if I can for all the things I need as maybe will be a clampdown on what they do and if things get more difficult their prices will of course rise I guess
I'm a US citizen going for a vacation for about 35 days. The Thai Embassy web site says I do not need a visa. Please excuse my stupidity but I have been recovering from a severe concussion which makes it slightly difficult to comprehend everything. So do I need to do an e-visa to enter or can I just show up like the last 20 or more times in the past?
exempt stamp is 60 days. You get at arrival. You only need to provide valid passport, where you're staying, onward travel ticket and 20,000 baht. Most of the time they don't even ask for most of this. 👌
Thanks for the help, I must be doing something wrong. They are asking for Document indicating current location Financial evidence: an amount of no less than 20,000 THB (e.g., bank statements for the last three months, sponsorship letter). I have been going to Thailand since the late 70s, never had this mess
there is no such thing as a visa exempt application! You get 60 days visa free if you are from one of the 90+ countries that can do that. You can even extent your permission to stay for an additional 30 days. You just need your passport a plane ticket and a toothbrush and you are good to go.
yes so long as they're giving that I don't see the purpose of a tourist visa...

Just pick somewhere you plan to land at. They just want any address. When I applied I used my home address even though that it wasn’t where I was going nor it could be verified.
Pick something off Agoda for the timeframe but don’t confirm with Agoda.

Your first place you'll stay. And you'll still need to fill in the TDAC car for your arrival info.

Depends on the embassy/consulate serving you, but normally a booking for up to a week accommodation is sufficient for a visa.
