yeah - it's just to get an account and then try. No big deal.

if/when you go to immi to get that fixed it would be interesting to know if the problem was because the system wants a recently updated tm30. I had a tm47 rejected once - and the automated answer that I had to come immediately to the office made me nervous but they said to me "1st time after being abroad must come in person" - I said I have not been abroad - she looked in my passport and her screen and said : mistake 😊

tm30 and tm47 both takes about 2-3 minutes to do online

he wants to open a bank account and a non o is a good way to do that. So of course he should do that. Many accounts frozen by Bangkok Bank - not other banks and that has nothing to do with "being a tourist". Of course no accounts are closed because you are a tourist.

that's wrong - it clearly says "visa must be used by" and that's up to 3 months after it is issued and THEN he gets his 3 months permission to stay.

@Nongnuch *******
ha ha maybe 😅 thanks for the explanation that the extension begins when my initial permission to stay expires - very logical but I didn't really think about that 😔

ohh I can't get off the hook 😊I looked again in my passport and immi did it correct. I entered June 4 and was permitted to stay to September 1 so they were right. No - the non o from my home country.

@Nongnuch *******
ohh thank you 😊 They DID stamp September 1 - I will ask them to correct it.

thanks Brandon. I understand from your answer that I have used advance in the long consideration period so the 11 months are ok.
