A few years ago I went to CW to extend my non O Thai wife visa. I went back after the under consideration period to get stamped.

When the IO called my number she told me I had to go and get my photo taken cos it's used the same photo as the year before. She even had the previous case papers there to hand, so they do store them and refer to them

If he's getting 40k in interest, that meens before tax he earns 50k. A rate of 6.25%, I'm interested, where does he get that rate? I want to open an account there.

IMO, anyone who cannot extend a retirement visa on their own should not be allowed out without their mum

It depends where you live. I lived in BKK for over a decade and never had a home visit, but now I'm in Kanchanaburii I've had a visit on both of my last 2 extensions

I got my original in Bangkok and have twice got a new copy here in Kanchanaburii {this year and last}

I registered my car and applied for both bike and car licences from DLT. I needed 1 certificate of residence for each ie 3 altogether.

Kanchanaburii DLT

It's 3 application at immigration, so I needed 3 sets of documents

Be careful which CoR you use for which item, as they are specific of purpose. Ie one will be too register the bike and one will be for the licence. They are written in Thai, so it's easy to get them mixed up

Here's a wee warning for all those talking about benefit fraud.

The government has recently got itself a new piece of software that traels social media looking for anything that indicates any sort of benefit fraud. It is then flagged up for investigation.

So, be careful of what you say on here.

That's what I'm doing at the moment. I spoke to the local IO about it and they said it was OK
