I have a friend who is on a B visa with WP, he let his 90 day expire because of amnesty.
He sent a TM47 to CW by EMS in mid August, but has had nothing back.
My question is - should he have applied in person at MTT to get back into the system rather than mailing to CW?
If so, should he now go there now with the EMS receipt to prove he tried to apply before 31/8?
Advice welcomed, thanks.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on whether their friend, currently on a B visa, should have applied in person for the 90-day report (TM47) instead of mailing it. Given that the friend's 90-day reporting period expired due to COVID-19 amnesty, there is uncertainty about the consequences of the mailed application and whether he should visit immigration with proof of his attempt to apply.
