I don't have any advice or personal experience to relate but if you would be so kind as to share with me what visas you use to cover two 3 month visits per year I would much appreciate it.
Life is full of compromises. Some people are more risk averse than others. Some people feel the need to be responsible to a degree rather than just leave a mess for others to sort out. Horses for courses. It's a bit like making financial provision for retirement. Some will plan to have money for assisted living for the possibility of living into their 90s while others will only make provision to last until they reach their 70s.
John Fitton personally I would have no worries about being cared for but my Thai family and friends wouldn't cope with doing my visas. Also if one is seriously unwell/incapacitated then visits to immigration may be impossible.
Michael Dawson so when you remain airside and don't go through immigration, who is going to want to see an arrival card? You haven't arrived in Thailand until you go through immigration.
One of the comments above has a screenshot of FAQs from Immigration clearly stating that you don't need to complete a TDAC if you remain airside in transit.
