my little sister was born in Singapore. She was given a choice to become a Singaporean at the age of 18. Due to the fact that she would have had to commit 2 years to "service," she chose to waive that right. It can and does happen, depending on the country.

To some people. Meeting requirements for an LTR is NOT easy for most working people. My point is to the OP, which states how long they will be staying, not how long they want to stay. All of that is subject to approval and/or "meeting" requirements.
