Editing the post. I am on the island of Ko Pha Ngan in Thailand and I want to do the DTV visa. The closest countries I have seen are Burma, Vietnam and Laos. The question is if anyone has been to one of these countries successfully and can help me understand how to get there.

Looking to apply for digital nomad 5 year visa for my fiancé and me and my daughter as a dependent. But I am wondering if the amount that needs to be prooved is all together or do we need to proove that amount separately?

I am also wondering if my fiance can apply for his and when we are married we can apply for ours (marriage is a month or two before we fly) and roughly how long it takes. Not sure if I should start the process yet or not, as we are aiming to leave to travel around March times.

Finally, does anyone know of any agencies I can go through?

Does the payslip for the DTV visa must be translated to English?

Based on your experiences, which embassy near Thailand accepts a 1-month-old bank statement for the 500k requirement?

DTV Requirements seem clear with the exception of 1 critical items related to the application.

1. Do you need to be in your local passport country to apply?

As an example, for me, traveling back to USA would be significantly more expensive and time consuming then a neighboring country. Also, if it takes more then 30 days, I risk breaking the "FEIE" (foreign earned income exclusion) law.

USA travel + cost to stay would easily be 150k+ baht. Rather then say going to Vietnam for 30k.

Hello ,I need up to date advise on getting a 60 day visa at Savannakhet from Chiang mai .

UK passport .

I have tried to get an online appointment at Vientenne but I can’t get into the system to book it even after being in touch with the tech team at Thai embassy

Hence journey to Savannakhet No booking as I understand it .

So what I need to know is journey from Chiang mai.

1: straight through bus ,,possible ,,journey time !

2:Can you break it up on khon kaen ,or that makes it too long a journey

3:30 or 40 dollar at border ,,( pay in dollar or Kip

4:good cheap hotel to stay near Thai embassy

5: next day return of passport .

6: any other travel options I need to know or any other tíos on the journey , visas ,hotels ,etc
