Who experienced doing border bounce to kuala lumpur? Can I just stay in the airport or do I have to get out and find an accommodation? Is there any risk that IO will deny re-entry to Thailand? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
When planning a border bounce to Kuala Lumpur, you must exit and stamp into Malaysia; simply staying in the airport is not sufficient. Travelers have reported that, while no overnight stay is necessary, you do need to show a passport stamp upon entry to avoid complications with re-entry into Thailand. Frequent border bounces may lead to scrutiny from immigration officers, who may deny re-entry based on your travel history. Some users have shared their experiences including local accommodation preferences and how to navigate the airport while complying with immigration rules.

A visa run is leaving the Country and re-entering after buying a new visa or activating another entry on multi entry visa. A border bounce is leaving and re-entering without a visa, ie visa exempt.

This is how the whole women have penis's too thing happened..
not exactly; A border bounce is also used by those on 1 year multi entry VISAS that only allow 90 day entries! Thats NOT a visa run as no new visa is purchased and one ONLY needs exit, and return
Yes, you must stamp in and out of another country. If you have a history of border bounces, they’ll question you at some point and deny you entry back to LOS at another…. You’re at the discretion of the officer.

Reckon this the bloke to speak with on THAT question, innit?
The safest bet is to make sure you stamp into the country you fly to. There's not going to be a requirement to spend the night or anything like that, but you need to at least get your passport stamped into the country, then you can go right to the checkin desk and checkin for your flight back to Thailand.
But the risk is if you never leave the secure area of the airport and never stamp into the other country in between.
there's no such thing as sure to get in. Entry is always at the discretion of the immigration officer. But you've met the requirement of leaving Thailand by doing the stamp into another country
