Hi everyone, I have seen on this group a few travelers being refused entry, due to travel history. I am after some thoughts on entering on visa exempt, or book a (“safe entry agent) I’m not sure if this is the correct terminology 🙃, or a apply for a multi entry tourist visa?

My travel history is April- March 2024 (11 days), October 2024 (8 days) MotoGP , December 2024 to January 2025 24 days, April 2025 (15 days), August 2025 (9 days), December 2025- January 2026 (34 days). No over stays or boarder runs and return to Australia each time. Looking at returning for Songkran and booked return flight. So in total 101 days since April 2024 so far. Wow had to check the maths 😳. The next trip booked April-May 2026 (29 days). Sorry for the long post. Thanking in advance. 🙏🙏

Does Hanoi ever give multi-entry tourist visa instead of DTV if booking a 6 month soft power course (since it's seen that DTV isn't needed)? I read a couple of reports of this but not for Hanoi

I - question regarding the Multi Entry 6 month visa. I have used this over the last 3 years staying 6 months in Australia (for the tax year there) and approx 5 - 6 months in Thailand. However I stayed just over 6 months in Thailand between October 24 and April 25 last time. - which was legal as my visa hadn't expired and I exited and reentered gaining a further 60 days. When I entered on a new METV in Oct 25, immigration didn't like it and said that next time they wouldn't allow me to use a tourist visa. They said I should get a retirement visa instead. However, I might need to continue as an Aus tax resident and Thai retirement visa would interfere with that. From my understanding I'm not doing anthing illegal but immigration said they wouldn't allow me to do this again. Can anyone shed light on this issue?

Can anybody assist with further information?

I am an Australian passport holder and I’ve just been approved for a multi entry ;Tourist Visa.

I am under the impression this will allow me to stay for 60 days only, however it says it is valid for six months.

Does this mean I will get an additional 60 days if I leave the country and return?

Or does it mean I can stay in the country for the duration of the valid dates in the Visa?

Not really sure about this, and no information available either on the website or on the Visa approval itself .

Thank you in advance for any practical insights you may be able to share 🙏

Good morning to everyone, one question, I made my last extension in December 2024 after a 60 days exempt entry.

I'm back in Thailandia the 16 October 2025 and my 60 days exempt entry will finish the 14 December 2025

Will I get 30 days extension? Which will be the first and only in 2025?

After that I'll will flight to Vietnam for two weeks, should I get another 60 days exempt on my way back to Thailand?

And if my flight back home will be the 13 April 2026, do you guys think I can have another 30 extension? Which will be the first of 2026?

Thanks to everyone who will answer.

Hello,

I applied for the DTV under the “soft power” category, and I have an upcoming interview at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka. If anyone has gone through a similar interview, could you share what kind of questions or topics were asked? I would really appreciate any information.

I am presently in Thailand for 6 weeks. My last visit was in March for a month. At immigration I was asked about my return ticket and asked if I have family in Thailand. I told them that I am just travelling around, which I am. I gave an Airbnb address and not a hotel which may have aroused suspicion. I am returning to the UK on 16th November and returning to Thailand again mid January for just under 60 days. The flights are already booked. I am planning to use the visa exemption once again. Is this wise? Would I be better applying for a 3 month tourist visa or would that be considered a waste of time and money? If I were to plan another trip in May next year would I be better advised to go for the Multi entry visa? Any advice would be appreciated 🙏
