A Czech guy arrived at the gym I train at with a DTV based on soft power Muay Thai and the owner of the gym told me the embassy in Prague even called her to ask about his training schedule and to check if he really had booked training. They also interviewed him. But he got the DTV 😏
2 years ago a Czech friend applied for the METV in Prague and that was also a huge, long, cumbersome process.
I don’t think they’ll have access to all this information. But I have seen posts on this where some embassies do a more thorough investigation. Good to know Hanoi is happy with just business license ☺️
did you provide all those documents too or just a confirmation letter and business registration? (From what I understand #4 is only needed for an ED visa, not DTV. But it probably also differs per embassy if they require this)
Email the Thai veterinary authorities, they will give you a list of requirements and prepare the import license. Use the email address corresponding with your port of entry into the Kingdom.

Also check with the airline you’ll be flying with if they have any additional requirements
Similar experience having a Dutch and Russian passport, when I travel between the two countries I show my NL passport in NL and RU passport in RU, get the comment ‘oh but you don’t have a Dutch/Russian visa’ and then show them the other passport. I never travel anywhere else with the Russian one though, because from what I understand if I get in trouble I will only get consular assistance from the country whose passport I used to enter.
So in your case, if you use your Thai passport to enter Laos, you’d have to ask the Thai embassy for help if anything happens.
