Anyone have experience entering the country with a recovery certificate and a positive pcr test and/or testing positive upon arrival? My friends, due to arrive on Monday 21/2 have the following situation:
3 Pfizer shots
Covid 2 weeks ago
Recovery certificate (all valid 14 days or more)
Chances are they will test positive on the pre-departure test but even if they don’t, they’ll probably test positive (or ‘detected’ here in TH as the tests are more sensitive)
Do they proactively show their recovery certificate at the pcr testing at Phuket airport? Or wait for the result? And then what, will they have to go to the nearby clinic to show then the certificate? What happens?
TIA for any advice

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry addresses the process for entering Thailand with a COVID-19 recovery certificate after having tested positive for the virus. It involves considerations about the likelihood of testing positive on the pre-departure test, the sensitivity of tests in Thailand, and the need for showing the recovery certificate during PCR testing at Phuket airport. The conversation highlights that while recovery certificates may offer some exemption, they do not guarantee an unrestricted entry, and testing will still occur upon arrival.
I had the same issue but I tested negative on departure and on day one here in Thailand I'm going to be getting my day five test so let's see what happens
