- That is an incorrect statement. My partner applied for a EU/Schengen visa last June. They took the passport for three weeks and couldn't travel with me on my trip to the Philippines.

No you cant! Any agency that is "applying" for you in Thailand is only entering your data into the same e-visa system that you would do on your own. They are reporting you in the e-visa as being outside of Thailand. It is fraudulent. What law firm are you referencing?

- No, you have to be in the country the entire time the visa is being processed. Many people who are already living in Thailand, chose to apply in a country nearby. If you apply via Vietnam, it takes roughly 5 days to process (so have to stay in Vietnam for 5 days). Cambodia takes 10 business days, etc. One of the documents you are required to upload is proof you are in the country that you applied via.

As mentioned a thousand times on this page, you have to be physically present in the country where you are applying for the visa. If you applied via the embassy in your home country, you needed to be physically in your home country.

You are allowed to enter the country as many times you want over the 5 years. Each time you enter, you receive a 180 day stamp, which gives you 180 days. With every 180 day stamp, you can then extend one time for an additional 180 days. If you do extend, you have to leave the country at the end of the 180 day extension, but you can return and start all over. For me, I have entered and left 6+ times in last 6 months and each time I get a new 180 day stamp.

I believe if most of the cases you reference, the embassy doesn’t know that people are entering back into Thailand early or if they are aware, turning a blind eye.

- I have seen one or two others, but didn’t save. However, this embassy says “has the authority…”. We can assume this means the authority that is given to them by either the MoFA specially or the Thai government. If this is the authority granted to them, is it reasonable to say this would be the same authority given to each/every Thai embassy? Furthermore, on the flip side, have you seen any embassy explicitly state one can leave? Have we not seen some individuals on here have to fly back to the country they applied in and several others get canceled because they left?
