ORIGINAL POSTERFYI for anyone applying in Vietnam this week. I submitted my application to the Hanoi embassy just before 5pm on Monday and have been sitting at Pending document check ever since - 48 hours later. Previous reports suggest that usually people have moved to pending approval status by now. So delays for the holidays seem inevitable.
UPDATE: after asking for a couple of my documents to be re-sent, and resending pretty much immediately, I have now moved to Processing Pending Approval! I think that's good news 🤞🤞
UPDATE 2: Thanks so much for everyone's advice in this group! Tet miracles can happen. I got approved this afternoon a few hours before the embassy closed for the holiday. I hope everyone else in a similar situation got approved so quickly.
