I'm applying in Hanoi, is the embassy closed for Tet? Does anyone know the schedule?

Silly question. For DTV Hanoi applicants, what time of day did you get your approval email? With Tet coming up and visa deadlines around this period, I’m curious and anxious about the typical timing. TIA.

Do anyone know if the Thai embassy in HCMC, Vietnam is working during Tet (Lunar new year) ? Or it's fully closed ?

First one, (0 questions, not 1 word) also used fast track knowing there was horrendous Tet holiday/Chinese new year crowds, I flew from Phu Quoc Vietnam, start to finish Jan 29-12 longer than I hoped but not bad considering it was Holiday season. (core documents done in 6 days, believe it or not pending approval > approved is what took the longest 7 days, the anticipatory rumination and worry the visa wouldn't be issued before tet shutdown was brutal. But 3 pm Thursday , batch approval hit and I was obviously in the que. Now I'm in! woohoo happy new year to all, DTV vibes! blessed 🙌 🇹🇭

I applied for my DTV Visa here in Hanoi on Tuesday, 2/10, and was approved today, Friday, 2/13...

Is 3 days a record or something? I am over the moon.

I am still shocked by how quick the turnaround was...I was not expecting a response until next Friday, 2/20.

Case is 15 days old and pending approval for like a week..batch approved today or tomorrow or I am f*cked. Because office closes for TET in Vietnam and I 100% can't stay (update: APPROVED! 3:00 pm) 😃

I have landed in Ho Chi Minh but from the posts I've read I feel like I want to try apply in Hanoi instead.

If I now fly to Hanoi internally from Ho Chi Minh can I apply there?

Also, if I get rejected in Ho Chi Minh does this mean I am not allowed to leave Vietnam, and fly back into Hanoi and try again at a later date there?
