I'm at the airport now about to leave Phnom Penh. I was here for 16 days but am leaving without a DTV approved.

The embassy asked for additional documents after 5 business days (on a Friday). My work took about 4 business days to provide the documents I needed.

Submitted with 2 business days to spare. Still pending approval.

Documents provided:

- Bank Statement showing sufficient current balances

- Booking confirmation (hotel in Cambodia)

- Letter of Offer from employer / Employment contract

- Standard passport-size photo

- Scan of passport bio page

Additional documents requested:

- Scan of passport entry stamp for Camobodia

- Certificate of Employment

- Company Registration from employer

Hopefully I'll still be approved for my next entry into Thailand -- does anyone know if leaving the Embassy country before approval had any effect on the outcome?

If I were to offer advice, it'd be to provide all the correct documents in the initial application. It'll save the time required to request additional documents. Allow 5 business days at minimum for each interaction with the embassy.

I would like to share how I got my DTV visa in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

This group helped me a lot during my preparation and that's why I wanna contribute too.

❗I applied in September and at that time, the embassy accepted walk-in application, however, it will change to Evisa starting from 8th October.

General info

--------------------

The process was pretty easy in my case.

No appointment was needed.

I applied on a Friday and got an appointment next Friday.

The processing time was pretty long though.

There was no interview.

Visa fees $400

Documents I submitted

---------------------------------------

✅Passport

✅Passport front page copy

✅Visa application form

(1 photo, white background, 3.5 x4.5 cm)

✅Place of stay in Thailand (condo rental contract)

✅Flight ticket (not a mandatory though, since I have already bought one, I submitted it also)

✅Workcation category

•Work contract

•Recommendation letter

•Payslips (6 months)

✅Bank statement (3months)

•With Myanmar bank account

•The account has been opened for more than 1 year but was inactive without transactions.

•Put the money 2 weeks prior to my application date

✅Bank certificate

•I requested the bank to include the currency in both MMK and USD.

•Both of my bank statement and bank certificate are not the original documents. Since I am already in Thailand, my mom helped me get the documents and sent me the scanned copies. I submitted with the sacnned ones and that was okay.

I have also made a video about this but I'm sorry it's not in English sub.

Hope this helps!

All the best ☘️

As far as I know, today there were several DTV applications rejected at the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Embassy didn't announce the rejection reason.

It seems they are treating the DTV application very strictly and very seriously

Hi :) got my approval via Phnom Penh embassy in person, no agency needed. It was super easy just a longer waiting time 8days. Soft power activitys: bank statement in English, passport, visa form, photo, for soft activities for muay Thai: the bill and the confirmation of the booking of the class for 3 month. Be sure that it is a official muay Thai school and not just a muay Thai gym. Fee: 400$. Feel free to ask :)

Can anyone provide information about obtaining a NON O-spouse visa for Thailand through the embassy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia? I am specifically interested in knowing the requirements and process. I have already done some online research, but I would appreciate hearing about personal experiences. Additionally, would they accept my original marriage certificate from the USA or require further verification?

I got a question: I am going to apply for a Non-B in Phnom Phen. Do I need a police clearance from my home country? The police clearance in Thailand I got already. It seems to be that some embassies are requiring police clearance from home country has anyone experienced this with the embassy in Phnom Phen?

Hi

I went to the embassy in Phnom Penh on Friday morning but it was closed so I won't be able to apply till Monday morning, I'm currently planning on flying to Bangkok on Wednesday morning.

Do you think that would be enough time to get a SETV done before I leave if I explain the situation to them politely or should I try and reschedule my flight.

Is there anything else I can do if I wanted to stay in Thailand till a week or two after New year, like extending a visa exempt or something?

Thanks 😊
