These are oversimplifications and not really related to visit visas. Yes, Canada brings in far too many foreign workers and students, but it's actually very difficult for a regular Thai woman to get a visit visa, even if they just want to go to Canada for 2 weeks. You must prove that you have: (1) a permanent job in Thailand, and (2) assets/property in Thailand (i.e., close ties / reasons to come back to Thailand). The Canadian Embassy is very strict about the possibility of a Thai person "visiting" Canada and then staying.

This would've been perfect for me but after seeing the other visa rule changes and all the trash people that have come to Thailand already in recent months, I'm going to a different country. Too many foreigners will ruin the charm that Thailand has.

North Americans have a pathological desire to label other people who are different and judge them based on said label. It's a toxic feature of their culture and will soon be more and more prevalent in Thailand as they continue to move here and try to change society to fit their needs.
