Exactly. It made my life hard as a good faith applicant just because of my nationality. I just got rejected in jkt and the reason they told me was confidential so I think it's not because of the documents I submitted were the reason but my nationality

How many were Chinese I wonder 🤔. It's very difficult to get a DTV even if I absolutely don't want or need to work in Thailand.

I was rejected in Jakarta this Thursday. Chinese passport holder as well. The status showed pending approval so I think the documents were okay. Nonetheless the application was rejected just hours thereafter. I guess the senior officer was arbitrarily rejecting Chinese applicants unless we show them a good reason not to. Sad day for me especially after seeing the pending approval-ed application only to be rejected hours later. Which embassy do you intend to reapply?

Same rejection here in Jakarta. Soft power, the status showed pending approval without document requests and received a rejection nonetheless hours thereafter. They are arbitrarily rejecting Chinese applicants regardless of embassies unless there is a good reason not to. 😢

I am trying to explain my situation in a new application since I plan to marry my partner in Thailand who holds a dtv visa. I don't need to work and my bank statement literally shows he transferred money to me months ago

Anonymous participant 216 lots of Chinese ppl abuse the various visas that do not permit to work. Sadly all Chinese applicants now pay the price
