submitted my application in Jakarta and uploaded all the required documents, including:

Scanned copies of every page of my passport

Employment certificate issued by my company

Work contract

Bank statements (with monthly salary transactions)

Proof of deposit (balance meeting 500,000 THB requirement)

Jakarta entry stamp

Hotel booking confirmation

Location screenshots

But despite all this, my application was still rejected.

I carefully checked everything and made sure there were no mistakes in my submission.

The rejection came so unexpectedly, leaving me completely unprepared.

I suspect the problem is you unloaded copies of every page of your passport along with your initial application, then uploaded the exact same information again when you were asked to upload copies of every page in your passport. You shouldn't upload these unless requested to do so by the consulate as they often ask this as a final check you remain in the location you applied from just before issuing the visa

I was rejected in Jakarta this Thursday. Chinese passport holder as well. The status showed pending approval so I think the documents were okay. Nonetheless the application was rejected just hours thereafter. I guess the senior officer was arbitrarily rejecting Chinese applicants unless we show them a good reason not to. Sad day for me especially after seeing the pending approval-ed application only to be rejected hours later. Which embassy do you intend to reapply?

Yes, I also feel there is selective treatment toward Chinese applicants. I plan to reapply in China.

Sorry about that, I'm not sure if you lack of your portfolio, which is documentation of your work and why you're qualified for the job. Also, a payslip from the company, preferably one that matches your bank statement and verifies its validity.And you and your company have stated that you will not work in Thailand or develop the Thai market.
