I applied in Jakarta this Monday and the status changed to pending approval this afternoon. However, I received an email saying the application was rejected. Anyone has similar experience? I am really confused. No document was requested

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience of applying for a Thai visa in Jakarta, where the status changed to pending approval but was later rejected without any document requests. They are confused about the situation and are looking for others with similar experiences. One commenter noted that there have been several rejections recently and inquired about the type of visa applied for, specifically mentioning Softpower and Workcation.

Several rejections this week which will be in the threads. Did you apply for Softpower or Workcation?

yes. 6-mo course. I am a Chinese passport holder so that's could be the reason for arbitrary refusal

Anonymous participant 216 lots of Chinese ppl abuse the various visas that do not permit to work. Sadly all Chinese applicants now pay the price

i suspect this is the reason. My documents were fine since the status showed pending approval without any document requests. However, it was rejected hours later possibly due to a senior officer who refused to issue the approval. Very frustrating

yeah, it is unfortunate you and others paying the price for others misdeeds. You should apply elsewhere.

I am trying to explain my situation in a new application since I plan to marry my partner in Thailand who holds a dtv visa. I don't need to work and my bank statement literally shows he transferred money to me months ago

When you marry then getting a dependent DTV will be easy. Not sure if you mention now wanting to get married it will help as it may look like you want the DTV to just be with your fiancé. If you are marrying soon, consider the METV 6 mths multi entry visa but with correct timed extensions gives you around 8 mths. After marriage apply as DTV dependent.
