Well you have to pay for transport anyway. The service is for "Safe" one day in and out. The Immigration Officer has final say and discretion valid visa or not.
Should be fine with a service - they have arrangements at the border. There have been a few posts in this group regarding runs from Pattaya. Have a search.
1) Find out how DTV can be cancelled. This is not clear but a good first step would be to know. For example, can it be cancelled in Thailand by Immigration or only by the MFA ie whoever issued it. 2) apply for and get a teaching job 3) Get DTV cancelled 4) School applies for WP 5) Take WP letter and other documents and apply for a non-B. I went from Retirement to Non-B. It took 2 trips to Singapore and a Cambodia border run. That is why I said number 1) above so you know the exact steps.
Anonymous participant Yes, I saw Wise had changed. In the above example I gave I asked in a local branch of a bank where I have account elsewhere ie Bangkok. To open another account locally I have to provide all the documentation above I mentioned. I have been a customer for years. My salary went in there when I was working and if it matters are in one of their hire tiers ie special queue etc and service. They still demand everything again to open a new account just at different branch
Congratulations. That you got the DTV while having an active METV is very good info for some who were granted METV instead of DTV. At least they know they can apply again before its expiration in Vietnam.
On DTV Visa - might not be easy. I asked about account openings at another bank on Thursday and they said not possible on DTV now. The list of requirements was 1) Correct Visa, 2) Two forms of photo ID (Passport and Thai Driving licence she asked for) 3) Certificate of Residence 4) Long Term Lease or your Property Registration.
