I applied last 27th feb in HCM for DTV visa workation.
Our hotel was very close to the embassy so i asked my wife (Thai citizen) to see if they would provide any information about the processing time of my application.
They let her in (not me) and told her that they were pretty busy with many applications that have piled up during TET.
They let her know her that if all paperwork was in order it would take 5 business days (we know this) BUT it could take a bit longer. They said that it would probably be more safe to book a flight back not before 13 or 14 feb.
I like vietnam but i didn't expect to spend so long there. let's be patient. Good luck
Received approval for my DTV today from Hanoi, Vietnam. For anyone wondering, I submitted on the 20th of January under soft power using the Muay Thai gym called Tiger Eye (highly recommend).
I submitted a few months of compiled bank statements, proof of my passport stamp into Vietnam and all the documents supplied by the gym.
Vietnam New Year celebrations start from tomorrow onwards, so I was praying I’d get the approval beforehand. I hope everyone else also waiting like me gets approved today also 🙏🏼
Very grateful for this group existing, made me feel confident applying myself and not using an agent. Now it’s time to celebrate with 1 million bia hoi and as many banh mi as I can stomach before coming back to the place I can now call home - Thailand 😁
I'm flying to Vietnam to get a DTV visa at the end of the month. It turns out there's a holiday there and the embassy is closed. How much will this affect the online visa issuance?
I am currently in Vietnam as a tourist, should I apply using the home country (USA) embassy or Vietnam embassy. How would I show proof of the current location? Thanks in advance.
Applying for non-IB visa as i will be working with Thai company. Started the e-visa application through Malaysia embassy but have now been advised that i need to have an entry stamp to even start the application (new information to the company who is helping with the application and said i could apply first and then when approved, just fly in/out and get my visa stamp).
The other options were Laos or Vietnam. Does anyone have a recent experience for this visa type with these embassies that can advise if you can submit the application remotely?
I currently live in Phuket on an ED visa that expires in a couple of months
Hello everyone, I just got my DTV e-visa through Phnom Penh embassy.
Here’s how I did it & my experience.
I applied on 21st 11am, and got my visa on 29th 5:30pm.
I went through soft power, medical route.
🤞🏼6 months bank statements from my Bangkok account.
🤞🏼confirmation letters from two doctors I am visiting and 2 appointment letters from both of them for 4th November 2024. (Both same date)
🤞🏼one night Phnom Penh hotel proof of stay, and 2 nights from sihanoville.
If you guys are planning to apply from Cambodia, I suggest doing it while you get your holidays. Nothing much to do here in Phnom Penh, so I went to sihanoville for 3 days, Koh rong saloem for 2 days, then back to Phnom Penh.
I find Phnom Penh more expensive than HCMC, even though I’ve heard lots of other people say the other way round. But food is great here. Lots of Chinese food options, Indian and Indonesian.
