DTV holders may be living here on it but at the end of the day the DTV is a tourist visa. It was not designed as a residence visa. If it was Immigration would have had to be involved, and the MFA and the previous PM would never have got it passed in the form it is now.

If you upgrade to the LTR "Digital Nomad" Visa you will get a bank account and tax advantages. Only need to do 90 Day report once a year too.

That is the easiest way - get the 90-day in-country then the 12 months. After that yearly renewals.

Health Insurance only required on an O-A acquired outside Thailand. An O issued by immigration in Thailand has not health insurance requirement.

Nope - you cannot do any work at all on Retirement according to the legal requirements.. In practice though how would anyone know if you are working remotely? I know a few on Retirement work as consultants in their old industries. They tend to fly out for these short assignements though.
