When I was applying for Non-O a few years ago I just explained to the bank that I was in the process of applying for the visa and they were fine. You should try visiting smaller branches of banks and be prepared for rejections. I originally tried SCB and was told they would call me when they confirmed with head office. I'm still waiting on that call. I literally went next door to a small branch of Kasikorn Bank and was setup within 30 minutes.
I will be going there mid to late next week. Tried doing it online as I thought they might have opened that with the new office but still the same sadly :/
Regarding the online reporting not working. You have to do your first report at the office before you are allowed to use the online reporting in the future.
I would say yes but best to check with them directly because every office operates differently. I was able to do this with my local immigration office.
Yes when I went there 2 months ago to do my 90 day there was a new officer and I felt it was handled much more efficiently and even with a smile. Same as you I was in and out within 5 minutes. The only regular staff I saw was the big man at the door that gives you your ticket. Just in case you don't know, you can use a work permit in place of the resident certificate if you have one.
Thank you. I searched the group after seeing your post and found Tod's original post about it. Never showed up in my newsfeed. They are my local office and I have to go there next month for the 90 Day Report. The new location is a more direct route for me so all good.
