it is definitely worth the bother to have your marriage certificate translated. It will make things like pensions and property so much easier in your home country.

To get the fit to fly you need to have a negative COVID test. So it is COVID PCR test first, followed by the Fit to Fly, all within 72 hours of departure.

Very easy,
@Gar****
and
@Sc***
have covered the basic details. The only thing I would add is take a Thai speaker with you, if you don't speak Thai.

The medical certificate can be got from most clinics. If you want a car and motorcycle licence you will need two medical certificates.

Definitely no need to employ an agent.

Gamulescu Claudiu Lumia do a decent policy. Not age dependent accept anyone up to 74.

Gamulescu Claudiu I am afraid that you are wrong. The COVID insurance is exactly the same 100,000 USD. What is different is that the STV requires 40,000 outpatient and 400,000 inpatent cover.

@Sarah *******
just one more thing to take into consideration. The STV does require a bit more paperwork. In essence this is a criminal record check and medical insurance of 40,000 Baht outpatient and 400,000 Baht in patent.

In my opinion if you are coming for less than 3 months the Tourist visa is the best option, if between 3 and 9 months the Special Tourist Visa is the best option.

last quarter of this year is very optimistic. 70 million people in Thailand. Heard immunity will be achieved when 80% of the population are vaccinated. That is 56 million people or 112 million injections. I hate to say it but realistically we could be looking at fourth quarter 2022, and that would involve injecting well over 1 million a week.

my thoughts on that are. Think of a sentence containing the words close, stable, door, horse and bolted. The mismanagement of this pandemic in the U.K. has been unbelievable.

@Michael *******
I agree. A vaccine supply chain is a complex thing. Although the sense of community will help a lot. If a village is to be vaccinated on a certain date the local community will make sure everyone is there to be vaccinated.
