Hi! Anybody managed to obtain a bank account with a DTV visa? If yes with witch bank/branch?

Anybody here used their home country debit or credit card inside a,Thai bank to make “over the counter” withdrawal？ please tell the group about your experience. Which banks provide service？ required documents ？ any fees？

Hello. I am trying to download to one of my bank accounts (very likely in Thailand, where the transfer fees and exchange rate fees are relatively low) some money that a tech-savvy donor parked in a Wise (formerly Transferwise) account for me. Hey guys, I see posts here that reference a VIP service for opening a bank account in BKK at around 3K to 5K all-in (including car pick-up at condo, etc.). I have a WP so I’m set, but my partner will be on non-immi B visa when he flies in in a week, and we’d like for him to open a bank account here, as he will stay here for an extended period with me. I have been talking to some agencies, but they are so expensive! If you know of any other visa agencies with more reasonable charging, please help and DM me the details. Thanks a mil!

Hey guys 🙂 do you know if I can go to a bank and transfer money to a Thai bank account ? 🙂 it would be the green one, for the person receiving the money. Is that possible ? Just give them cash and they transfer it to the bank account.

Does anyone have a feel for which city, Bangkok or Pattaya, would be easier to open a bank account whilst in country on a visa exempt status? Which bank(s)? Thanks again.

Is there a way I can apply for a credit card in Thailand? I have a Thai Citibank account and a Krungsri account. The problem is my Thai Citibank debit card doesn't work with Lazada or Grab so I always have to use an American credit card which has foreign transaction fees. I called Citibank Thailand and asked if I can apply for a credit card and they said no because I don't have a work permit, but what about with other Thai banks? Is this a federal law or what? I have an elite visa if that makes any difference. Thanks!
