I have an email from my visa agent in Bangkok (the guy who got me my DTV) saying absolutely you do have to do repotting.

Copied and pasted from his email…

Since there is no exemption regarding the 90-day report with this visa, you will need to complete the 90-day report.

I own my company so it was sending them proof of that.

The process took about 3 weeks because we are British but have UAE residency so things got a bit complicated.
