TLDR : Answer Summary
The time span for which the THB 500,000 must appear in your bank statement when applying for a DTV visa can vary significantly depending on the embassy or consulate you are applying through. Experiences shared by others suggest that banks statements can be accepted for durations ranging from 1 day to 6 months. Some embassies may only require one month of statements, while others might recommend providing at least 6 months to ensure a smoother application process. For example, the London embassy reportedly accepted only a recent statement showing sufficient funds, while the Vientiane embassy wanted at least 3 months of statements. It is advisable to gather and submit any additional requested documents to facilitate the visa application.

I'd recommend applying elsewhere. Malaysia is strict.

Vientiane wanted 3. They seemed more interested in the latest statement balance. The guy hi-lited it. I also supplied my Articles of Incorporation, an intro letter about my company and a client contract stating that I would be working remotely from Thailand.

They werenā€™t interested in my personal or corporate tax returns, nor my Thai bank statement

They took the bank statements and my lease in Thailand.

Well, if your 500K had been on your Thai bank account they would have taken that.

Somewhere between 1 day and 6 months. It's up to the country you apply in.

I would go back at least 6 months if you have it. Just makes things smoother but if not submit what you have. Every Embassy has been different. Some just want to see the balance, some 1 month, some 3 months, some 6... I recommend to people I'm helping submit everything they ask for and plenty of it to just make it smoother.. Hope this helps.

It all depends on the embassy, some are asking for 1 month, some for 6 months, others don't care if it's been in there a day...

Most consulates (however varies) wants the money in your personal account. Length of time seems to vary from 1 month to 2 months to 6 months, and will probably change again with new countries joining evisa

Hi, what about the other documents e.g. employment and payslips etc.. Also how long did process take in london?

@Ali ****
I own my company so it was sending them proof of that.

The process took about 3 weeks because we are British but have UAE residency so things got a bit complicated.

Feel free to message me if you need more information

Thank you very much for the speedy reply. I'm similar situation lol, British but work as contractor in Dubai, thus UAE resident. My company in UAE has given me a NOC saying I can work remotely. Did you have to send UAE residency proof and UAE bank account?
