If it is a denial of entry, he will be asked to leave on the next available flight probay back to country of passport a d he will probably be denied entry for a period of time.

I got that in 2019 and my stuff had to be collected by friends and sent to me. I had to stay away for 6 months.

if you were in an ED visa, then you would hVe had to report to immigration every 90 days, either in person or by online with your TM30.

If then you wanted to extend, you should have gone to immigration again and then Change that back to a tourist visa for 30 days at the cost of 1900 baht. If you wanted to extend the Ed visa, then you should have a letter of confirmation and the various documents and then be given another year. If you overstayed, you would have been bundled to an exit point and you pay the overstay fine and be asked to leave. I think the person at the immigration may have said the wrong thing and I suggest you check your stamp on your passport again.

Kind of confusing. What type of visa are you on originally?

Basically, if you are an overstayer, you should be advised to leave and pay a fine. And it is always the person's responsibility to check their stamps for last day of stay and to make sure you leave or extend before then.

Unless you went to one of the immigration offices and applied for N extension and they used to charge 1,900baht for a 30 day extension.

If I am not mistaken, Thailand practices cremation as an SOP. And most countries also prefer any deaths to be cremated first and the ashes to be repatriated. The method of repatriation will also involve the next of kin to come, confirm identity of the deceased and then accompany the ashes back. And then upon reaching country of origin, to properly also register the death.

Reason is that someone has to confirm the identity, and cremate to avoid bringing any diseases and or pathogens overseas and also at the country of origin, someone has to handle the logistics also.

Not saying that we cannot employ a funeral service to handle everything but the problem will be the receiving and logistics in the home country. Just my 2 cents though.

Do you mean hoping in and out and getting 60 day visa free stamp? The purpose of the stamp is for tourism. So if the immigration profiles your entry and exit and it looks odd, they can deny you entry or pressure you to get a proper visa. You can fly on and out as many times as you like, but if the immigration think you are trying to stay without a proper visa, they can always find any reason to say no. It can be 2 times and it can be many. Please check with a real and proper visa agent.

Your first point of worry is the airlines you travel on as some may require proof of exit. In the Thai immigration side, it is a coin toss. If your travel profile is good and you do not look like you are trying to live in Thailand without a proper permit, you will probably have no issues. But if you are repeatedly going in and out on visa free tourist stamps, you may meet some resistance

If they stamped on your passport that they refused you entry, if I am not mistaken, you automatically will be banned for a period of time. So no matter if you use an agent or try flying in, you will still be refused. If you did not get stamped, you will still need to get an agent to check and hopefully try to get a proper visa

In some borders, citizens may be able to travel across with just temporary visas by using just their local id. But if I am not mistaken, it is just for the area near the border, eg the nearest town. But to go on a flight and actually need to pass through immigration, I am pretty sure a passport is needed.

It is kind of a hassle to actually need to get out of a country and go to it's embassy in another country tp get a stamp or a piece of paper and so on. If we were to be in country, immigration should at least give us a letter whereby we just need to leave the country, come back and hand that letter at immigration and they just stamp our passports and it is done. It is just hassle.

I personally do not see any issues with your current mode. Because you may be staying in Thailand for a certain period but you fly our regularly and within your visa limit.

The only sticky thing I may foresee if it gets too long, like maybe over 180 days or maybe even a year, then it starts to be pretty obvious that you are trying to live there without a valid visa and that could become troublesome.

Just my thought though. Maybe you could do a DTV which allows you up to 5 years and 160 days per entry. Then maybe it will be "safer" for you.
