What options do I have for extending my stay in Thailand for another 60 days while caring for my mom?

Hey Everyone. I have read so much helpful information. I am interested in staying just another 60 days past the current 60 days. I saw that you can only apply for a 30 extension once. I am taking care of my retired mom and she will need an extension to. Just wanted to spend my birthday here which is why I want to extend. What would you recommend I do? Not easy to do a visa run as I have a dog license and will be required to do the whole process all over again if she leaves the country. What extension or visa can I apply for in Bangkok for us to stay til my birthday?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on extending their stay in Thailand for an additional 60 days due to caring for their retired mother and wanting to celebrate their birthday. They mention challenges with a visa run because of having a dog. Comments suggest that a border bounce could provide the needed extension, as extending a tourist visa allows only a 30-day extension. Suggestions include finding a dog sitter and using an agent for the border run.

If you go to immigration to extend, you will only get a 30 day extension. So I think a border bounce, stay for a day or get an agent to facilitate and come back with another 60 days.

Find someone to dog sit, and do a border run

Take the dog to a dog daycare.

Do the visa run ,you can not extend for 60 days only 30,after you have to do a run outside and back anyway .

Better yet doba visa run and then come to koh kood

there is no need to do a "visa run" and apply for a tourist visa on a Thai embassy in a neighbour country. A "border run" is enough to get them a visa-exempt 60-days stay permit

they need to go out and come back ,ok it is visa except run ,amounts to the same thing essentially

not the same thing. You do a "visa run" in order to apply for a visa at a Thai consulate. You do a "border run" when you just "bounce" at a border and re-enter visa-exempt (not "except")

If you have a passport from a country that's eligible for visa exempt, then just do a border bounce with an agent. You'll meet them very bright and early in the morning, and then they will drive you to the border and make sure you get stamped out and back in with a new 60 day stamp, then drive you back. All done in the same day.
