TLDR : Answer Summary
A community member seeks urgent help after being denied entry at Nong Khai immigration due to excessive visa exemption stamps. Several commenters suggest obtaining a proper visa, the potential of using agents for fast-tracking entry, and the importance of addressing immigration flags in the system. Thanks to everyone who gave useful comments.

All the best wishes to people with unsolicited bs like “get a propper visa” lol

Made it back to the country.

Ended up paying for a ticket more than a for bribe itself lol

If they stamped on your passport that they refused you entry, if I am not mistaken, you automatically will be banned for a period of time. So no matter if you use an agent or try flying in, you will still be refused. If you did not get stamped, you will still need to get an agent to check and hopefully try to get a proper visa

not only stamped, but he could also have gotten flagged in Immigration's central computer system

If I'm right about my previous comment, you need to enter via Bangkok with fast track service using Thai Visa Centre agent. It will cost you around 8k baht to enter safely.

I reckon the "Fast Track" will not save him from a denial of entry. If it really did - how ridiculous would this be? Thousands of travellers would use it

It's around 8k baht with an agent with connection at the airport. It's not a standard fast track it's under the table. Most are unaware of it.

I don't think that a person flagged down in the central computer system can avoid being denied using the 8000.- THB option.

Your situation is different. BKK airport have been strict for 7-8 years, even more so lately but they were already denied a lot of people. But you have a good chance of being allowed in by LAND. Bangkok airport is to be avoided. I haven't enter via Bangkok for 8 years.

well then, good luck on living longterm in Thailand on tourist visa or exempt visa. You are advised to get something, some visa category, that fits your purpose of stay

Travis never elaborated on which border he was denied entry from. He asked for people with connections at Nong Khai border but this doesn't mean it's where he got denied entry. Also, he didn't mention the writing in Thai in his passport. If there was a note saying to not let him in, no border or airport would have allowed him in without a visa. I'm assuming that he was flag, knew it, but didn't read what was written in his passport before bouncing.

I clearly stated - Saphan Mitaphap 🤷🏻‍♂️ Only one border checkpoint in Nong Khai as far as I know anyway…

No writings in passport..

your use of the name implies a certain level of familiarity with that particular crossing even if you can't spell it correctly.

It's the Thai - Laos Friendship Bridge. I've cross that bridge 20+ times, never heard of Saphan Mitaphap. You are the first ever case of denial entry in that border. You made a post August 31 in Bangkok about the IO questioning you. What is your history after that?

when you zoom onto the bridge, it says "Thanon Mittraphap" along its course across the Mekong. The "Mittraphap Road"

He need to reach Thai Visa Centre. I don't see any other way of him getting back in unless he get tourist visa in Vientiane.

From what I have read, he can't get any more appointments with the Thai embassy in Vientiane, because they are switching to the E-visa online system soon. 😉😎 Guess he needs to fly elsewhere but defy NOT into Thailand

I'd say if you are denied at that crossing your time in Thailand as a tourist is over. You could try going to Vientiane and applying for a proper (non tourist) visa appropriate for your stay in Thailand

Just spend a few months in Laos and try again. Next time, strongly consider using an agency for border bounce. They ensure you get back in

I've never heard of Saphan Mitapap, but you can border run Nong Khai, no question asked. If you are denied there you would make history as the first person ever denied there.

many don't realise that regardless of stamps in the passport, all the data is on the system, and they have algorithms that highlight certain types, a mate who does FIFO was interviewed at length, and after giving his work schedules they made a note on his file so he doesn't get queried again

He didn't mention that he was denied in Nong Khai. I'm waiting for the confirmation before asking further questions. He would be the first case of denied entry in Nong Khai in history. It would set a precedent. But he didn't elaborate further on this.

interesting. If denied there, it’s likely that border is closed to you. Is it just because of the stamps and long stay history? If so, you will probably need to fly in. For safety margin, you can pay for FastTrack on arrival and they will ensure smooth passage. Reach out to

Go to Thai Visa Center. They will sort things out for you. For a price? Yes, but they will do and you will be set.

They’re probably assuming you’re working illegally while living in Thailand on tourist related visas/exemptions. Probably should get a proper legal longer term visa solution. There’s visa agencies in Pattaya that can probably get you squared away for a price.

not what I'm hearing from border bounce agents. They “guarantee ” me and my gf will be re-admitted after 2nd visa exempt (60 day) plus a 30 day extension. Apparently agent very well connected at Immigration and only takes the fee knowing there'll be no problem at Thai/Cambodia border.

the problem is the OP is not in Thailand and was warned before and I’m sure the warning was in the computer and that’s why he was denied and yes a border run company will take you and get you back but after 6 months you’d be cutting it thin it works until it doesn’t the OP has done this many times and it caught up with him

Contact an agent and ask about fast track... they usually let you know if they can help or not. Then look into getting the appropriate visa for your stay.
