Nope, the reason they stopped issuing letters was because Thai immigration wanted the embassies to verify/confirm the income, which they obviously could not do.

But 3 is not 4, and if you have not had for 4 months prior, you sign to say for 4 months post. (Only BKK bank).

They also want the money in for 4 months before issuing a letter, or you sign a 'freeze' on the funds for a further 4 months.

If you intend to visit Thailand again it is the correct and prudent thing to do. If the school will give you a letter it must be an extension, visas are not cancelled.
