What are the rules regarding posting links to businesses in this community?

Question

Links....if you want to link to a commercial enterprise, then please ask first. We have 2 users who are allowed to advertise, and as of now, that is all. I will continue to delete posts with links to businesses in.

Ask Thailand · Answer

The community has strict rules about posting links to businesses, allowing only two specific users to advertise. Posts containing links to commercial enterprises will be deleted unless prior permission is granted. Users express concerns about the limitations on suggesting businesses to help others, while the administrator clarifies that there are no paid sponsors and emphasizes the need for these rules to maintain the quality of information shared in the community.

I am sure the admins will use common sense when deciding what and when to delete :-)

Lloyd ******** · Answer

I posted that because we were getting links to some sites with incorrect info and also because we were getting inundated with links to newspapers and other (commercial )forums, and they push genuine questions down the wall.

Lloyd ******** · Answer

Let me assure you, there are no paid sponsors. Not one Satang changes hands.
