 it has been planned for 6 months and not been announced to be implemented. It might never be. Don't plan around speculation, especially when it comes to thai immigration.

Easy. Go to the Philippines. You can stay up to 3 years at a time on tourist visa stamp extensions. And you can apply for a retirement visa there if you're older than 35, which you won't need since you can stay with tourist visas.

LoveThai no, I had income in my bank statement, but was never asked to issue any proof of income.

Your passport was issued in Japan, so write Japan.

And there is no income requirement, as long as you can prove that you can work remotely from Thailand.
