I came in on 60 day visa exempt on Uk passport and want to extend 30 days att immigration office.

I’m told I need a TM30 for this.

I stay in a property owned by my brother, he’s unreachable and can’t help me.

How can I get a TM30 myself without any documents like home ownership etc?

It’s a condo block and there reception didn’t want to know and wouldn’t help…

Maybe if I checked into a hotel for a night nearby could they do it? Or does the stay at said hotel have to be for the length of the stay you you applying for I.e 30 days?

Any help welcome, thanks in advance. 🙏🏼 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is on a 60-day visa exemption and wants to extend their stay by 30 days. They are unable to contact their brother, who owns the property where they live, to assist with the TM30 registration needed for the extension. Suggestions from the community include checking into a hotel for a night to obtain a TM30, using online services, or seeking help from local visa agents. It's emphasized that the TM30 isn't strictly necessary if the user won't interact with immigration before leaving Thailand.

Call and ask at mots visa service

They can do that for you

It's lodged online, do it yourself, for his address and save it so you can show them at immigration, I've seen backpackers turn up with the name of a hostel in Khao San Rd written on a piece of paper and get an extension

Just check into a cheap hotel and ask for a tm30 then take it back to immigrations. Agents will help you out and have it done for you same day in jomtien. There is one 2 downs up from thw immigrations office that charges 5,000 baht. It says photo shop or photo copy shop on it.

hotel seems the better and cheaper option. 5000 seems a lot for agents help but good to know the options there. I’m in Phuket though but sure I can find somewhere.

yeah if you want to do it yourself it's still 2,000 baht plus you have to pay for photos and takes about 4 hours. If you go through an agent they charge 5,000 you just drop your documents off and come get them the next day. If you are on vacation I recommend just using an agent your time is worth more than the extra 2 or 3,000 baht you will save doing it yourself.

Ning ******
check into any small cheap hotel for a day (as if they have tm30 first.)
Paul *******
Book a hotel for a week that you can cancel after maybe. ?

@Paul ******
the TM30 will not be done by the hotel until he checks in

@Ken **********

yes your right about the uk, I don’t plan on going back there. I usually go between cambodia and thailand on tourist visas.

I just want to extend for 30 days at immigration.

Why do you need the TM 30 if no interaction with immigration extensions etc, you dont really need to do it.

I think the hotel option is the best. Stay until you’ve done whatever it is you need the TM30 for.
Jim ********
Why do you need a TM30? Are you visiting an immigration office?

30 day visa extension sir.

@Troy **********
Ok, then you will need one. Yes as a last resort, book into a hotel for one night in the same province as the immigration office you will be attending. Ensure the hotel will register you and give you a copy or screenshot of the TM30
Stephen ********
Condo reception may respond to a 500bht incentive

How long are you staying? If you're staying less than 90 days and don't need to deal with immigration before you leave (like when getting a extension), just forget about TM30.
Cole *********
@Steve ******
no i just did it. In pattaya they ask for a tm30 along with one other form for you to fill out.

I came in with a 60 day exempt and want to extend another 30 days.

then you need a tm30. Check into a hotel the day before you go for the extension and use that address for your tm30 👌

that’s what I’m thinking Steve, I just didn’t know if hotels would supply a tm30 if you’re staying with them for a few nights? So you don’t have to have stay at the hotel booked for the entire length of the 30 day extension? Thanks
Steve *******
@Troy **********
no, I've checked in to a hotel and gone straight to immigration when I was new here. No issues

yes that’s right, I’m not going to keep pestering him since I’m luck enough to be staying there.

If you don’t have anything of value to say why even comment, pretty sad.

@Troy **********
he's your brother and you live in his property , but uou can't get info from him it's strange , you can go on the defensive and critisice me if you like but it's not actually me that's sad is it!!!!!! Best you can do is talk to him then process is simple ---- and don't come back with abuse please just because yoh have family problems,,, thank you

@Troy **********
have him create the account in the TM30 system for his property then give you the login information

@Brandon ***********
but don’t you need all kind of information like the home owners passport and property ownership details. My brother bro getting back to me so this seems unattainable right now.
Brandon ************
@Troy **********
yes need passport and house book as far as I know
Maksym ***********
Hotel can ask to checkin for few days. You should have tm30 valid for application date, not for all
