I usually do lax yo Narita, lunch and shower in Star alliance lounge then jump on to BKK. Not so bad.

Yeah, currently that’s the best option and makes the most sense. Or I’ve done a handful of days stopover in Japan to recover, eat some good food and then on to BKK but def excited to know that L.A. will likely be getting a direct flight again (possibly) That will definitely entice me to go more often.

hopefully they include SeaTac (Seattle) as well. That's if this even happens. If it doesn't happen, 12 hours to Taipei, 3 hour layover and 3 hours 45 minutes to BKK with EVA isn't terrible. You're on the ground in Bangkok at noon ready to go.
