TLDR : Answer Summary
To pay water and electricity bills online in Thailand without a Thai bank account, you can explore several options: use the Lazada app, which allows payment for utility bills with foreign credit cards; set up a TrueMoney account for added convenience; or pay at 7-Eleven stores. It's important to note that some foreign cards may face restrictions, so contacting your overseas bank may help resolve any issues. Additionally, physical payment at places like 7-Eleven remains a viable alternative.

They all have their own Apps - download them and it's easy to pay

True Money is a good way, you setup an account and use the app to scan and pay the bills. You can load your true money account at
****
. It also gives you a virtual Mastercard that you can use to pay for things online that need a Thailand based account. For example you can get Netflix, YouTube premium at Thai rates. You can also scan to pay at
****
and other places that take it. It’s a nice work around when you need a Thai based credit card.

The credit card will only use the money you have loaded in the account, it’s not a line of credit.

you cant unless you contact your overseas bank to allow these payments. So you don't have any bank account here or overseas or if you have a partner they don't have a bank account?

Great to know you can use a foreign card to pay the utilities in Lazada. I tried with one of my foreign cards but it was rejected without reason, I will try with another card

@Carlos ********
its being blocked by visa or Mastercard. Call your overseas bank to take the block off.

"There are a number of reasons why a Visa card might be blocked for overseas purchases, including:

International payments turned off: Card controls may have been used to turn off international payments

Fraud: The card issuer may suspect fraud if there is unusual activity or spending outside of habits

Visa Secure: Some online payments may require extra information to confirm identity

Card expired: The card may have expired

Credit limit reached: The cardholder may have reached their credit limit

Incorrect card information: The cardholder may have entered their card information incorrectly

Old address or phone number: The cardholder may have an old address or phone number on file

To avoid issues, cardholders can:

Inform their card issuer that they are traveling overseas and using their Visa card

Provide their current contact details, including a number to reach them while overseas

Check the expiration date on their card

Visa travel support is available to help with any issues. "

you can pay the electric bill in cash 🙄 lazada can aswell pay and it used to work with foreign card
David *********
@Tim ********
This would be a very expensive option when you considered all charges and with a foreign card , 7/ 11 - 15 baht ( I know this is not what the OP wants ) .
Tim *********
@David ********
well he should just walk to the nearest 711 🤷 lazada works with with foreign card probably he's only option online
Phil ******
@Tim ********
my response was to OP not YOU. He asks where to pay utilities bills ONLINE, NOT BY ATTENDING AN OFFICE.
Tim *********
@Phil *****
well lazada isn't online?
Phil ******
@Tim ********
crazy comment Tim. He wants to pay UTILITY BILLS not Lazada FFS.

@Hakan ***********
I or the missus always pay direct. His OS card is being blocked by visa pr MC
Tim *********
@Phil *****
and lazada has a category to pay UTILITY bills but with the trash and nonsense that you are posting everywhere and having the slides of ideas what you are actually talking about i can see why you keep posting false information

go to the 711, problem solved. Why are you so hung up with paying your utility bills online?
Carlos *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
I tried in Lazada with my foreign Visa card and it didn’t go through. I don’t have a bank account in Thailand because I’m on a DTV visa and no bank wants my money 😅
Kim *********
@Carlos ********

You can pay electricity bills at 7-11 and water bills at your jurisdic office. Or check if there's a QR code for 7 on the water bill too.
